Prince George’s County Council Member Rodney C. Streeter was elected to his first four-year term on the Prince George’s County Council in the November 2018 General Election. He represents Councilmanic District 7. During the 2019 Legislative Year, Council Member Streeter held the position of Vice Chair of the Council. As Vice Chair his duties included serving as Chair of the General Assembly Committee, and as a member of the Governmental Operations and Fiscal Policy Committee (GOFP). During Legislative Year 2020, Council Member Streeter serves as Chair of the Government Operations and Fiscal Policy Committee, as well as a member of the Health, Human Services and Public Safety Committee.

Council Member Streeter has more than 20 years of experience working in several essential government positions to include Legislative Aide and Constituent Services Director for the D.C. City Council; Special Assistant to former Prince George’s County Council Member Camille Exum; and Chief of Staff to former Prince George’s County Council Member Andrea C. Harrison, currently serving as a Maryland State Delegate, District 24. Council Member Streeter is an active alumnus of Leadership Prince George’s, Inc. and an involved member of the Hillcrest Heights Civic Association. Honored with numerous community service awards, Council Member Streeter embraces the foundational principles that government must be responsive to the needs of its citizens; accountable and responsible with hard-entrusted tax dollars; committed to enhancing services for the community’s most vulnerable, particularly seniors and youth; and supportive of families and the communities in which they live by creating recreational and educational opportunities for youth, and training for second-chance citizens. Council Member Rodney Streeter and his wife, Lisa are proud homeowners in the Hillcrest Heights community, where they have lived since 2005. They have one adult son, Rodney Streeter, II. ​
