COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE AND COUNTY COUNCIL CONVENE VIRTUALLY MARCH 16TH FOR SCHEDULED SESSIONS AND BRIEFING ON FLOODING ISSUES IN PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY
The Council’s Committee of the Whole (COW) and the Prince George’s County Council will convene virtually on Tuesday, March 16th.
The COW is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. for updates on the Operating and Capital Budget; statewide and local bills; and joint priorities. COW will also address Proposed Correspondence to Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, Metropolitan Planning Deputy Executive Director Kanathur Srikanth, addressing the Regional Safety Pilot Program.
Council session will convene at 11:30 a.m. for the presentation in introduction of several measures, and the review of Proposed Correspondence. The Council will also hold a public hearing for CB—001-2021, an Ordinance concerning Qualified Data Centers followed by a briefing focused on redistricting and census concerns.
The Council will reconvene at 1:30 p.m. for a briefing on government programs and services related to flooding issues in the County. Representatives from the U.S Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) and Prince George’s County Coordinated Response Team will provide presentations during the briefing.
