Each legislative year (January-November), over two hundred pieces of legislation are considered by the Prince George’s County Council. Budget and Policy Analysts are assigned to one of six committees, where they provide fiscal impact statements for almost every piece of legislation except those concerning zoning. Each Analyst selected three pieces of legislation that stood out to them during this legislative year, based on community feedback, publicity, and/or budget/fiscal impact. Selections are not scientific, but rather subjective.
