Join Angela M. Angel, Maryland State Delegate, D25, and First Baptist Church of Glenarden's Domestic Violence Ministry for "Domestic Violence at Our Doorstep", a forum to address this crisis plaguing our community.

WHEN:
Saturday, July 9, 2016
10:00am - 12:00pm

LOCATION:
First Baptist Church of Glenarden Ministry Center
3600 Brightseat Road
Landover, Maryland 20785

Domestic Violence at Our Doorstep will bring together service providers, law enforcement officers, survivors of domestic violence, judges, and community stakeholders for an open conversation about what is being done and what must be done to ensure that our community is safe. Continuing the valuable groundwork that previous forums have laid, this event will allow us to focus more readily on our next steps and highlight what needs to be done and the ways in which we can effectively end the crisis. There will also be a Male Only Panel to create a safe and encouraging environment for boys and men who have been exposed to Domestic Violence to have an honest conversation on the impact it has had on their lives.

Guest speakers/panelists include:

Yahsima AziLove - VP, Corporate Communications Officer | Radio One, Inc.
Derrick Leon Davis (District 6) - Chairman, Prince George's County Council
Melvin C. High - Sheriff, Prince George's County (MD)
Lisa Hall Johnson - Judge, Maryland District Court

Isabelle Williamson - Office of the Sheriff, Domestic Violence Unit
Sophie Ford - Executive Director, FCCPGC
Theresa Dudley - President, PGCEA
