Access to quality health care and disease prevention for our residents are priority concerns for the Prince George’s County Council and the residents we represent.

The Prince George’s County Council, which sits as the County’s Board of Health, is deeply concerned upon learning that the Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria has been found in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) of the Prince George’s Hospital Center.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families directly affected.

As the investigation into this matter progresses, the Council, in its function as the Board of Health, will continue to provide oversight and monitor the situation to its conclusion.
