The County Council takes its solemn duty to be ethical stewards of the public's money with the utmost seriousness and has absolutely zero tolerance for any form of corruption in County Government.

The criminal behavior by former Council Member Will Campos and his abuse of the grant program was disgusting and completely unacceptable.  With his guilty plea, the judicial system will now rightfully determine the appropriate punishment for his crimes.

The County Council will continue to review all grant program processes to further strengthen transparency, and ensure and protect the integrity of Council grant programs.
