The Prince George’s County Council extends its sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the Honorable Jim Graham, a former and long-serving member of the Council of the District of Columbia, upon news of his passing.
We also offer our thoughts and prayers to the entire Council of the District of Columbia as it remembers the four-term Council Member who passionately served the residents of Ward 1.
The County Council recognizes Jim Graham’s legacy of service, marked by a tireless advocacy for the LGBTQ community; pioneering efforts in the continuing fight against HIV/AIDS; and hard and determined work on economic development and the challenges of homelessness; youth issues; diversity; the needs of immigrant residents; and transportation.
This Council is grateful for the opportunity to reflect upon the service provided by the Honorable Jim Graham, who made an enduring difference for residents of his beloved Ward 1, the District of Columbia, and across the region.
