“I would like to publicly thank Delegate Frush for her more than two decades of distinguished service in the Maryland General Assembly, for her tireless and trailblazing work getting smoking banned in restaurants, and as a stalwart protector of the environment. Her strong voice on clean air and water issues and the health of the Chesapeake Bay in particular will be greatly missed.
As a resident of District 21, I have long admired Barbara’s commitment to the community and the people she represents. She is a person of humility who has never forgotten her roots. Barbara’s pride as a native Prince Georgian and her deep affection for her own neighborhood in the Calverton section of Beltsville is well known.
As a County Councilwoman, I have had the good fortune of working closely with Barbara on several environmental bills in Annapolis as well as on community issues in Council District 1. She has been a strong supporter of our public schools and was a valuable participant on a work group that I formed to explore the feasibility of a replacement High Point High School.
I am grateful to have been represented by a reliable, progressive voice in the Maryland House of Delegates for the past 24 years and wish Barbara the very best in her retirement.”
