[ARCHIVED] STATEMENT-COUNCIL CHAIR DANNIELLE GLAROS RESPONDS TO FLORIDA SCHOOL SHOOTING

Our thoughts and prayers are with South Florida, and all who mourn the painful loss of the 17 victims of yet another deadly massacre at a school in our country. The shock and sorrow felt by the families of helpless victims who died at the hand of a gunman wielding an assault weapon in the horrific mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Wednesday is incomprehensible. The Prince George’s County Council and the residents we represent, join mourners across our nation and around the world, as our hearts grieve for the innocent victims of this unspeakable tragedy. We pray for our nation, and join our voices with Americans who implore Congress to act.
