[ARCHIVED] COUNCIL MEMBER DANNIELLE GLAROS HOSTS DISTRICT 3 TOWN HALL MEETING AND RESOURCE FAIR

?District 3 Residents Urged to Participate for Valuable Information on County Resources and Education Budget Updates
Prince George’s County Council Member Dannielle Glaros (D) – District 3, will host a District 3 Town Hall Meeting and Resource Fair on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at William Wirt Middle School, 6200 Tuckerman Street in Riverdale, Maryland. Prince George’s County Public Schools CEO, Dr. Kevin Maxwell, will be the featured special guest.
The District 3 Town Hall Meeting and Resource Fair will include a brief overview and introduction provided by Council Member Glaros followed by a presentation from Dr. Maxwell. Residents will have the opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts on issues of concern with both Council Member Glaros and Dr. Maxwell.
The event will also include a Resource Fair from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. and following the presentations from 8:00 to 8:30 p.m. Prince George’s County officials and agency representatives will provide information and answer questions directly related to public safety, environmental resources, public works, parks, planning, social services and transportation. The Town Hall discussion will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Council Member Glaros encourages residents to learn more about how County Government is working in the community and to hear directly from Dr. Maxwell concerning Prince George’s County Schools and the FY 2016 Proposed County Budget at the District 3 Town Hall Meeting and Resource Fair event.
“With the recent release of County Executive Baker’s proposed FY 2016 Budget, hearing directly from Dr. Maxwell concerning future plans for the school system is even more pertinent. This town hall will provide an opportunity for District 3 residents to hear from Dr. Maxwell and ask the critical questions. Additionally, during the resource fair portion of the evening, representatives from various County agencies will be on hand to provide participants with information on their services and answer any questions they may have.”
The District 3 constituent area includes Beacon Heights, Berwyn Heights, College Park, East Pines, Glenn Dale, Glenridge, Landover Hills, Lanham, New Carrollton, Riverdale Heights and Hills, Riverdale Park, Seabrook, Templeton Knolls, University Park, West Lanham Hills, and Woodlawn.
