My Inaugural Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Expo for Returning Citizens was held on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at the First Baptist Church of Highland Park.   I am inspired by stories of returning citizens who after release used their skills and experience to create businesses and organizations for themselves, their families, and their communities.  I wanted to provide a platform for them to share their stories and to ensure that they feel supported and empowered as they reenter society and begin a new chapter in their life.
