Council Member Ingrid S. Watson (District 4) is partnering with Children’s National Hospital for her “Four the Health of It” community health fair on Saturday, June 21, 2025. The event runs from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Franklin Park Community Center, 9230 Springhill Lane, Greenbelt, MD 20770. This event will highlight the importance of pediatric health and access to care in Prince George’s County, where 40% of Children’s National’s Maryland patients reside.

Residents are invited to learn more about health and wellness programs and resources available in the county. The health fair is FREE and open to the public. Attendees will be able to take advantage of free vaccines for children, health screenings, dental resources, cooking demonstrations, employment assistance, family-friendly activities, food, giveaways, prizes and more.

“Hosting this community health fair is not just about providing services, it’s about empowering families with access to vital resources and education on wellness. Our partnership with Children’s National and key health care entities allows us to foster connections and share knowledge thus creating a more informed community. That’s why we’re making it free and easy for people to take advantage of these crucial resources,” said Council Member Watson. “We look forward to seeing everyone there!”

Children’s National’s presence in the county is centered around its state-of-the-art outpatient specialty care center in Woodmore Town Center, which offers over 20 pediatric specialty services. With an on-site lab, ambulatory surgery center and advanced imaging services, the facility ensures that families in the region have local access to the highest quality care without needing to travel far.
