DISTRICT 7 COUNCIL MEMBER KRYSTAL ORIADHA ADDRESSES HEAT ISSUES AT HOLLY SPRING MEADOWS APARTMENTS IN FORESTVILLE
Immediately upon becoming aware that residents of the Holly Spring Meadows apartments in Forestville were without heat, my office connected with the County’s Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement (DPIE) and building management to address the issue and provide heat for impacted families. It was determined that insulation issues with the HVAC system caused the problem and we were encouraged to learn that the management company quickly hired contractors to make the necessary repairs. In the interim, heaters have also been provided to affected residents. I will continue to closely monitor this situation until it is fully resolved and heat has been restored to every unit. At this time, there are 15 units still in need of heat. The health and safety of our residents are our primary concern. Any District 7 resident experiencing issues with heat in their building should contact the District 7 Council Office at 301.952.3690 for assistance.
