National Night Out Encourages Police-Community Partnerships and Neighborhood Camaraderie
Council Member Ingrid S. Watson and her District 4 team will join public safety officials and community members for National Night Out festivities on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at several locations in Bowie and Greenbelt.
National Night Out, established in 1984 by the National Association of Town Watch, promotes involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. National Night Out also provides our County agencies a unique opportunity to connect with residents on quality-of-life issues.
“National Night Out is a wonderful and collaborative event that promotes the partnership between community and police as well as community engagement and awareness to help keep our neighborhoods safer. I encourage District 4 residents to come out, talk to members of the police departments and engage with your communities,” said Council Member Watson.
