The Prince George’s County Council will convene tomorrow, Tuesday, December 2, 2025 for its annual Exchange of Gavel ceremony. Council Members will elect a Chair and Vice Chair for the 2026 Legislative Year. The Council session will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Council Hearing Room – First Floor, Wayne K. Curry Administration Building, 1301 McCormick Drive in Largo.
At the conclusion of the Gavel Exchange ceremony, the County Council will recess until January 2026. The newly elected Council Leadership team can speak with media about goals, plans, and initiatives for the new year.
