Council Member Wala Blegay to Hold Town Hall Meeting on Westphalia Development

District 6 Council Member Wala Blegay will host a virtual town hall meeting on Thursday, January 2nd to discuss the future of development in Westphalia. The meeting will focus on the proposed Northpoint warehouse development and Westphalia Town Center.

There will be a presentation on the Northpoint project from James R. Hunt, the Acting Deputy Planning Director of the Prince George’s County Planning Department, and discussion on legal action surrounding the project.

Additionally, Council Member Blegay will be seeking input on the Westphalia Town Center proposal regarding the types of businesses residents would like to see. The project aims to bring retail shops, grocery stores, restaurants, and more.

“This meeting will be your opportunity to get clear, accurate information on the Northpoint litigation, the future of the Westphalia Town Center, and broader development plans in the area,” Council Member Blegay said. “We will also discuss how residents can make their voices heard.

The meeting will begin at 6:30 pm.
