Council Member Krystal Oriadha will hold a District 7 Mass Job Fair on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Suitland Community Center, 5600 Regency Lane, District Heights, MD 20747, from noon to 4 p.m. The job fair aims to foster a strong network of job seekers and employers while providing on-the-spot interviews, career workshops, and resume support. Already, hundreds of people have registered to attend.
In partnership with Dr. Arthur Darby, III, and Unity in the Community Nonprofit, Inc., the job fair will provide residents with direct access to employment opportunities across various industries. Whether job seekers look to start a new career, re-enter the workforce, or seek professional guidance and development opportunities, this event is a valuable tool for taking the next steps in their careers.
"Economic empowerment starts with access to opportunity," said Council Member Oriadha. "This job fair is about connecting our community with jobs and resources while paving the way to success. I encourage all District 7 residents to attend and advance their employment opportunities. With the Trump-Vance Administration set to lay off hundreds of thousands of federal workers, many of whom live here in Prince George's County, we must create opportunities for residents to connect with employers.”
Attendees will be able to meet with employers ready to hire, have on-the-spot interviews, receive job search guidance, access career resources, attend workshops on building ATS-friendly resumes, and more. Employers interested in vending opportunities can visit bit.ly/7JOBSREG to register or contact Unity in the Community at support@unitynonprofit.org or 240-473-2893.
