Council Chair Edward Burroughs III (District 8) and Vice Chair Krystal Oriadha (District 7) are partnering with the Gathering Place DC and Community on the Frontline to host a pair of special events centered on the celebration of faith and fellowship, free of charge for residents of Districts 7 and 8.
A Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, September 18 will feature Pastors Jamal Bryant, Sam Tarver, Bobby Manning, Krishnan Natesan, and JJ Hairston. The event begins at 9:00 AM at Maple Springs Baptist Church, 4131 Belt Rd, Capitol Heights, MD 20743.
The following evening, Friday, September 19, there will be a Gospel Concert featuring Tye Tribbett, Kierra Sheard, and JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise. The concert will run from 7:00 to 10:00 PM at Ebenezer AME Church, 7707 Allentown Road, Fort Washington, MD, 20744.

“These two events are a special opportunity for our community members to come together and celebrate their faith while enjoying both fellowship and the musical talents that our area’s faith leaders have to offer,” said Chair Burroughs.
