In response to ongoing concerns about trash pickup in Prince George’s County, District 6 Council Member Wala Blegay will host a Town Hall meeting Monday, September 9th at 6 PM at Lake Arbor Elementary School. This meeting aims to address frustrations voiced by residents regarding the inconsistencies in trash collection and to discuss plans for improvement.
"Transparency is at the core of effective governance," said Council Member Blegay. "Bettering our community is my top priority, and this Town Hall will allow residents to share their concerns and gain a clear understanding of what’s being done to address issues with trash pickup. I encourage all residents to attend, share their experiences, and hear directly from those responsible for these services."
Representatives from the County Executive's Office and other relevant agencies have been invited to participate in the discussion. The goal is to provide residents with detailed explanations regarding the challenges faced by trash pickup contractors and to outline the County's strategies for resolving these issues.
This Town Hall is part of Council Member Blegay's ongoing commitment to fostering open communication between residents and government officials.
