September 15th festival will mark the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month.
Prince George’s County Council Member At-Large Calvin Hawkins will join the county’s Hispanic Festival 2024 sponsored by Prince George's County Parks and Recreation Department on Sunday, September 15th. The event will be held from 12:30PM-5:30PM at the Lane Manor Splash Park, 7601 West Park Drive, Hyattsville, MD 20783. Council Member Hawkins will give remarks at the event at approximately 3PM, and he encourages all Prince Georgians to attend the event.
"Prince George's County's growing Hispanic community is one of the most culturally diverse communities in the world,” said Council Member Hawkins. “Our Hispanic neighbors represent the best of Prince George's County's values of strong families, good work ethic, and powerful entrepreneurship. It is a privilege for me to represent every resident in Prince George's County, including our entire Hispanic community. I look forward to joining and giving remarks to thousands of my neighbors at the Hispanic Festival 2024 where I will highlight the critical importance of our Hispanic neighbors to Prince George's County's long-term success.”
