“I am grateful that Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown filed charges today against the owners of the Heather Hill Apartments in Temple Hills. For months, I have been working to help District 8 residents who have been taken advantage of by the owners of this apartment complex. I’ve heard from people subjected to atrocious and illegal living conditions including rodent infestations, trash accumulation, vandalism, mold, and faulty heating and air conditioning.
To make matters worse, according to charging documents, the owners of this apartment complex have been operating illegally, without a rental license. It is my hope that the Attorney General can recoup residents’ rent payments and more. Every county resident deserves to live in a safe, clean, comfortable environment. I stand with all those who have been victimized, and I trust that our legal system will provide accountability.”
