COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE TO REVIEW EXECUTIVE APPOINTMENTS TO THE BOARD OF EDUCATION; COUNCIL TO CONDUCT BRIEFINGS AND PUBLIC HEARING DURING HYBRID SESSIONS APRIL 12TH

The Prince George’s County Council’s Committee of the Whole (COW), and the County Council will convene hybrid sessions – both virtually and in person - on Tuesday, April 12th.

The COW will convene at 11:30 a.m. to review County Executive Angela Alsobrooks’ appointment of Zipporah A. Miller, Ed. D, as the District 5 representative to the Board of Education.   COW will also review CR-025-2022, legislation concerning the Westphalia Central Park Implementation Committee.  

Council session will convene at 12:30 p.m. for briefings on Bridging the Gap Between Civic Rehabilitation, Education, and Career Technical Training for At Risk Youth; Economic Equity Center; and the Prince George’s Provider Council.  

The County Council will reconvene at 4:00 p.m. for a public hearing on potential locations for the installation of speed monitoring systems prior to their installation.

The Council will also conduct the following Budget Work Sessions this week, Thursday, April 14th

10:00 a.m. Transportation, Infrastructure, Energy and Environment Committee

  • WSSC Operating/CIP

1:00 p.m. Government and Fiscal Policy Committee 

  • Office of Human Resource Management
  • Personnel Board
  • Law
  • Ethics & Accountability
     OIT
