PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY COUNCIL, SITTING AS THE BOARD OF HEALTH, TO CONVENE MONDAY, JULY 17TH; FINAL COUNCIL SESSION PRIOR TO AUGUST RECESS, TUESDAY JULY 18th
The Prince George’s County Council will convene as the Board of Health on Monday, July 17, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. to receive a briefing from hospital executives on Emergency Room Wait Times. The Board of Health Session will be held in the Council Hearing Room, First Floor, Wayne K. Curry Administration Building, 1301 McCormick Drive, in Largo.
The County Council will convene for its regularly scheduled session on Tuesday, July 18th, 10:00 a.m. in the Council Hearing Room. Among the measures scheduled for a public hearing and/or final Council action:
CB-046-2023 Healthy Restaurants Legislation
*Council Member Wala Blegay, Esq. (District 6) will hold a press conference prior to Tuesday’s Council session at 9:00 a.m. to call for support of the Healthy Restaurants legislation.
CB-061-2023 legislation concerning County Real Property as Surplus Property
CB-031-2023, an Ordinance concerning Convenience Stores, Gas Stations, and Tobacco Products display and sales areas for tobacco and cannabis-related products
CR-070-2023, a Resolution concerning a Universal Design Implementation Workgroup
Council Members will participate in a Meet and Greet with PGCPS Superintendent Millard House, II, following Council session at 1:00 p.m. in Committee Room 2027.
There are no Council committee meetings scheduled for the week of July 17th. Council sessions and committee meetings will resume in September, following recess.
