Prince George’s County Council Member Todd M. Turner and Anne Arundel County Council Member Jerry Walker Host Public Information Meeting on Governor’s Bridge Replacement Project
Residents Encouraged to Attend for a Design Alternatives Presentation and Discussion
Prince George’s County Council Member Todd M. Turner - District 4, and Anne Arundel County Council Member Jerry Walker - District 7, will co-host a Public Information Meeting on the Governor’s Bridge Replacement Project, Wednesday, October 17, from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. at the Comfort Inn and Conference Center, 4500 Crain Highway in Bowie, Maryland.
Governor’s Bridge, the historic single-lane bridge in Bowie connecting Prince George’s and Anne Arundel counties over the Patuxent River, was closed in March 2015 due to safety concerns.
Council Member Turner encourages residents who are interested in the Governor’s Bridge Replacement Project to attend the meeting and join the discussion surrounding six possible design alternatives with the Prince George’s and Anne Arundel County Departments of Public Works & Transportation (DPW&T).
“It is important to provide residents with information concerning the progress of the bridge replacement project. This forum, which is a follow up to the one held in April 2016, will also discuss design alternatives as the project moves forward. Anne Arundel Council Member Walker and I look forward to meeting with residents and to the reopening of Governor’s Bridge next year.”
