[ARCHIVED] COUNCIL MEMBER DENI TAVERAS WELCOMES SAVOR AT STUDIO 3807 TO DISTRICT 2

Prince George’s County’s First Food Hall Comes to Brentwood

Prince George’s County Council Member Deni Taveras (D) – District 2, officially welcomes Prince George’s County’s newest eatery attraction, Savor at Studio 3807, to the Gateway Arts District during the grand opening on Thursday, October 24, 2019. Savor at Studio 3807, located at 3807 Rhode Island Avenue in Brentwood, is the first food hall in Prince George’s County and the second African-American food hall in the country.

Savor at Studio 3807 boasts over 8,500 sq. ft of space designed for the community to eat, meet, and socialize. The food hall will also feature local chefs, farmers, indoor farmers market, artisan markets, and restaurants. In addition, Savor also offers private event space available for rent; a pop-up where new food concepts can be tested; and a removable stage for live performances.

Council Member Taveras says Savor is uniquely positioned to serve as a springboard for future restaurateurs and is an exciting addition to District 2 communities and Prince George’s County.

“This innovative partnership between Studio 3807 and Savor will increase food access to individuals and families living in Prince George’s County, while simultaneously providing entrepreneurs an opportunity to make their American Dream of owning a business a reality. I look forward to the success stories from this project.”

Savor at 3807, owned by business attorney and food entrepreneur April N. Richardson Esq., will serve as an incubator for food vendors by providing technical assistance in the areas of menu development, business marketing, legal, accounting and workforce development all with the goal of having food entrepreneurs grow into full scale restaurants in Prince George’s County.

According to the latest U.S. Census data (American Community Survey- 2017), the estimated purchasing power of the five zip codes in and around Savor at Studio 3807 is $1.24 billion.
