COUNTY COUNCIL AND COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE CONVENE VIRTUALLY MAY 11TH FOR SCHEDULED SESSIONS AND BUDGET WORK SESSIONS
The Prince George’s County Council and the Council’s Committee of the Whole (COW) will convene virtually on Tuesday, May 11th.
Council Session, scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m., will include the Introduction of Resolutions and Proposed Correspondence. The Council will also address CR-048-2021, legislation concerning Prince George’s County’s Eleventh Continued Declaration of Emergency, which is eligible for adoption.
The COW will convene at 10:30 a.m. for a briefing on the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) comments related to the Baltimore-Washington Superconducting MAGLEV Project – Draft Environmental Impact Study (DEIS), followed by the review of legislation and the Proposed Historic Site Designation for Jones-Sheridan House and Hierling House, both located in Hyattsville.
COW will also conduct budget work sessions for the following eleven (11) County agencies and/ or departments:
- Redevelopment Authority
- Revenue Authority
- Department of Corrections
- Fire/EMS Department and Volunteer Fire Commission
- Police Department
- Prince George’s Community College
- Prince George’s Memorial Library
- Office Central Services
- Department of Environment
- Stormwater Management
- Department of Public Works and Transportation
