COUNCIL VICE CHAIR DENI TAVERAS CELEBRATES PROGRESS IN DISTRICT 2 DURING KAISER PERMANENTE ‘TOPPING OFF’ CEREMONY
Medical Center Currently Under Construction Expected to Serve 27,000 Members Annually
Prince George’s County Council Vice Chair Taveras, recently celebrated progress in District 2 during a ‘Topping Off’ ceremony for the new Kaiser Permanente Prince George’s Medical Center located on Ager Road in Hyattsville. The ceremony was held on Friday, June 4, 2021.
Located adjacent to the WMATA Metro West Hyattsville station, the Kaiser Permanente Prince George’s Medical Center is a planned 48,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility featuring 37 patient exam rooms, lab testing facilities, a pharmacy, a coffee shop open to the public, and a three-level parking garage. The facility will also house adult and family medicine, OB-GYN, pediatric, and imaging services, as well as a pharmacy.
"I am proud to sign my name on the beam of this building being raised in the City of Hyattsville,” said Vice Chair Taveras during her ceremony remarks. “The Riverfront at West Hyattsville development is an ideal location for a new medical center, which creates needed jobs while providing community access to Kaiser Permanente’s innovations in delivering integrated, high-quality care."
The new Kaiser Permanente facility will serve approximately 27,000 members annually.
