COUNCIL CONVENES JULY 6TH FOR VIRTUAL PUBLIC HEARING ON THE APPOINTMENT OF ACTING POLICE CHIEF MALIK AZIZ; COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE, DISTRICT COUNCIL AND BOARD OF HEALTH CONVENE FOR SCHEDULED SESSIONS
The Prince George’s County Council; the County Council sitting as the District Council on land use matters; the Council Committee of the Whole; and the Council sitting as the Board of Health, will all convene virtually on Tuesday, July 6th.
Council Session, scheduled for 10:00 a.m., will begin with a public hearing for the Executive Appointment of Malik Aziz to the position of Chief of Police for Prince George’s County. The Council will also address proposed correspondence, zoning legislation and resolutions eligible for adoption.
The COW convenes at 11:00 a.m. to address several Council Bills. District Council will convene at 1:00 p.m. for its review of land use matters.
The Council, sitting as the Board of Health, will meet at 2:00 p.m. to receive four briefings. Board of Health Members will receive updates from Medstar Southern Maryland Hospital Center; Adventist Health Care Fort Washington; and Federally Qualified Health Centers in Prince George’s County. Prior to adjournment, members will be provided with a RWFJ County Health Rankings Overview and engage in Health Equity Definition discussions.
