[ARCHIVED] COUNCIL VICE CHAIR DENI TAVERAS JOINS BRENTWOOD TOWN HALL GROUNDBREAKING

Prince George’s County Council Vice Chair Deni Taveras (D-District 2) will join Mayor Rocio Treminio-Lopez, Council Members, community leaders, and stakeholders for the Brentwood Town Hall Groundbreaking Ceremony on Wednesday, July 7th.  The groundbreaking event, to be held at 3712 Utah Avenue in Brentwood, is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.

Vice Chair Taveras is pleased with the forward movement of the long-awaited project.

“I am happy to see this impressive project finally coming to fruition.  The Town of Brentwood is a growing, thriving community.  As part of that progress, this project will provide government offices with efficient work-spaces for legislators and employees to serve residents.  As the town moves forward with this project and a new Town Council, I look forward to the ribbon-cutting for this important new facility.  I applaud all the stakeholders that were responsible for making this project possible.”

The new facility will replace the former Town Hall Building currently located at 4300 39th Place. Double the size of the current town hall building, the planned two-story facility will make room for expanded services that better serve Brentwood residents. The existing building will be modified to provide additional town amenities.
