COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE CONVENES VIRTUALLY MONDAY, NOVEMBER 8TH TO REVIEW COUNTYWIDE MAP AMENDMENT TRANSCRIPT ANALYSIS; COUNTY COUNCIL WELCOMES MDOT OFFICIALS FOR VIRTUAL STATEWIDE TRANSPORTATION PLAN TOUR

The County Council sitting as the District Council, Committee of the Whole (COW), and the County Council will convene virtually on Monday, October 8th for scheduled sessions and the Consolidated Statewide Transportation Plan Tour. 

The COW, scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. will review a Transcript Analysis for the Countywide Sectional Map Amendment (CMA). This public meeting is part of an ongoing process to consider and approve a CMA to implement the classifications of zones in the replacement Zoning Ordinance approved by way of the Council’s enactment of CB-13-2018. The COW will reconvene at 3:30 p.m. for an Agency Oversight Briefing from the Health Department.

The County Council, at 1:00 p.m., will host Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) Secretary Gregory Slater, and Maryland Department of Transportation representatives for the annual Consolidated Statewide Transportation Plan Tour.  During the annual meeting, to be held virtually, Secretary Slater and other Maryland transportation officials will outline the state’s investments and answer questions posed by State and County officials and residents, about transportation priorities in Prince  George’s County. The meeting is part of MDOT’s annual tour of 23 Maryland counties and Baltimore City to update local officials and the public on the Hogan administration’s Draft FY 2022-2027 Consolidated Transportation Program (CTP), which details MDOT’s $16.4 billion six-year capital budget.

 The County Council, sitting as the District Council on land use matters, will convene virtually at 10:00 a.m.
