COUNCIL TO RECEIVE BRIEFING UPDATE ON RECENT CHANGES TO BULKY TRASH AND COMPOSTING PROGRAMS DURING VIRTUAL COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 10TH

The Prince George’s County Council’s Committee of the Whole (COW) will convene virtually on Thursday, February 10th.

The COW is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. with a scheduled briefing update on recent changes to the County’s Bulky Trash and Composting programs, presented by Department of Environment (DOE) Director, Andrea Crooms, and Deputy Director Michelle Russell. They will be joined by DOE Recovery Resource Division Director Marilyn Naumann, and Deputy Director Tim Richards.

Prince George’s County Council Chair Calvin S. Hawkins, II, encourages residents to view the briefing as the committee discusses changes to the County’s Trash Collection Program with Department of Environment leadership.

“The issue of trash collection is a high priority for our residents and the Council looks forward to receiving the County’s Department of the Environment briefing update, including an overview of the new curbside bulky trash collections. We encourage County residents to watch this briefing for important details and discussion.”

The COW will also address legislation concerning Collective Bargaining Agreements, Contract Approvals, and Compensation and Benefits.
