PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY COUNCIL, DISTRICT COUNCIL, COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE AND THE COUNCIL SITTING AS THE BOARD OF HEALTH TO CONVENE HYBRID SESSIONS ON TUESDAY, JUNE 28TH

Council Session includes Public Safety Briefing from Police Chief Aziz, and Public Hearing on Property Tax Credit Legislation for the Elderly 

The Prince George’s County Council, District Council, Committee of the Whole, and the Council sitting as the Board of Health will convene hybrid sessions – virtual and in person – on Tuesday, June 28th, 2022.

County Council session will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a Public Safety Briefing from Prince George’s County Police Chief Malik Aziz on the County’s recent crime incidents and statistics. Council session will continue with public hearings for measures eligible for final Council action, including CB-29-2022, legislation establishing a Property Tax Credit for certain elderly individuals. Prior to adjournment the Council will also address Proposed Correspondence.   

 The County Council, sitting as the District Council on land use matters, will convene at 11:45 a.m., followed by the Committee of the Whole at 12:00 noon. 

The County Council, sitting as the Board of Health, will convene at 1:30 p.m. to receive briefings concerning Health Equity in Prince George’s County, and the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center – Cancer Center. County Health Officer Ernest Carter will also provide updates, followed by a briefing on the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation County Health Rankings.
