Virtual Event to Focus on the College Application Process 

Prince George’s County Council Member Deni Taveras (D) – District 2, in partnership with Board of Education Members Pamela Boozer-Strother (District 3), and Madeline LaSalle Frazier (District 8), will  host “Dream Big” a virtual forum focusing on the college application process, Saturday, October 29th from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon. 

The virtual event will feature special guests, Next Generation College Challenges Co-Director, Dr. Carlos Beato; and Latino Student Fund President and CEO, Maria Fernanda Borja.

Council Member Taveras encourages parents and guardians to participate with their high school students.

"The ‘Dream Big’ event is for all high school students who are considering college as a viable option following graduation.  Participating students will receive the tools, resources, and information necessary for a successful college application process, and have access to several subject-matter experts joining us.  Student, parents and guardians will also have opportunities to ask questions and share their experiences.  We look forward to an informative day and extend an invitation to all Prince George’s County High School students to attend.”
