[ARCHIVED] PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY COUNCIL TO CONVENE TUESDAY, MARCH 7TH AT 2:30 P.M.

Committee of the Whole to Receive Countywide Master Plan of Transportation Briefing

 

The Prince George’s County Council will convene on Tuesday, March 7th at 2:30 p.m.  Council session will include the presentation and introduction of measures, and the review of Proposed Correspondence.  Among legislative measures scheduled for public hearings on Tuesday and eligible for final vote: 

 

CB-002-2023, proposed legislation amending the procedures for public notice, review, consideration, and approval of legislative amendments to the text of the Zoning Ordinance of Prince George’s County.

 

CB-003-2023, proposed legislation amending the decision standards for approval of detailed site plan and special exception applications to include master plan consistency as a required standard for site plan approval.

 

CB-005-2023, proposed legislation amending the time period in the Zoning Ordinance for the development of Gas Station uses pursuant to the prior Ordinance.

 

CB-009-2023, an Ordinance concerning tobacco shops, electronic cigarette shops, or retail tobacco shop businesses 

 

CR-006-2023, legislation adopting the Prince George’s County Climate Action Plan is also eligible for adoption and a final Council vote.

 

The County Council will host two Meet and Greet events this week, welcoming Maryland Comptroller Brooke Lierman to the Wayne K. Curry Building on Tuesday, March 7th at 11:30 a.m., and Maryland Senator Ben Cardin on Friday, March 10th at 11:45 a.m.  Both Meet and Greet events will be held in Room 2027.

 

The following Council meetings will also be held the week of March 6th:

1:30 p.m. General Assembly Committee 

3:45 p.m. Committee of the Whole

6:00 p.m. Town Hall Meeting – Strengthening Procurement in Prince George’s County 

              

Thursday, March 9th  

 

10:00 a.m. Transportation, Infrastructure, Energy and Environment Committee (TIEE)

1:30 p.m. Government Operations and Fiscal Policy Committee (GOFP) 

6:00 p.m. Minority Business Networking Reception
