COUNTY COUNCIL TO CONVENE TUESDAY, MAY 9TH AT 10:00 A.M.; COUNTY COUNCIL AND PLANNING BOARD TO HOLD BOWIE-MITCHELLVILLE AND VICINITY SECTIONAL MAP AMENDMENT JOINT PUBLIC HEARING AT 6:00 P.M.
The Prince George’s County Council sitting as the District Council, and the Prince George’s County Planning Board of the Maryland -National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) will hold an in-person Joint Public Hearing on the Bowie-Mitchellville and Vicinity Sectional Map Amendment (SMA), on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at the Wayne K. Curry Administrative Building, Council Hearing Room, 1301 McCormick Drive, Largo, Maryland 20774.

On-site registration for in-person testimony is now available; however, advance registration to testify is strongly encouraged. Written comments may be submitted through the close of business on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, when the record of public hearing testimony will close.
The Council will also convene for its regularly scheduled session on Tuesday, May 9 at 10:00 a.m. Among legislative measures scheduled for public hearings on Tuesday and/or eligible for final vote:
CR-021-2023, legislation approving and adopting the Prince George’s County Fiscal Year 2024 Annual Action Plan for Housing and Community Development (“FY 2024 Annual Action Plan”).
CR-033-2023, legislation extending the temporary appointment of Mr. Jared M. McCarthy as the Acting Director of the Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement.
This Council will also receive a briefing on Prince George’s County Delegation Priorities from Maryland State Delegate Nick Charles.
