“Prince George’s County residents are encouraged to participate in the upcoming 2016 Bi-County Diwali Festival. Diwali is considered by many to be the biggest and brightest of all Hindu festivals, and beyond a time of celebration, Diwali offers an important opportunity to promote unity in diversity by encouraging understanding between people who are different from one another. This event illustrates the rich diversity of Prince George’s and contributes to our collective community story.”
Additional Diwali Festival co-sponsors include the Takoma/Langley Crossroads Development Authority; the City of Takoma Park; Sri Siva Vishnu Temple; and the Hindu Temple of Metropolitan Washington.
