County Residents Encouraged to Attend for Vital Information on Building ‘Downtown Largo’; Regional Medical
Center and Largo Town Center Updates
Prince George’s County Council Chair Derrick L. Davis will host a District 6 Community Meeting focusing on “BuildingDowntown Largo” Saturday, July 22, 2017, 9:00 a.m. – 12 Noon at Prince George’s Community College, Largo Student Center, Community Room A and B, 301 Largo Road in Largo.
Chair Davis says, ‘Downtown Largo’ is starting to take shape and it is important for residents to be informed as projects move forward and transformation of the area occurs.
“We are focused on creating a vibrant ‘Downtown Largo’ with thriving businesses and walkable places to live, work and play. This is an exciting time for economic development and renewal in Largo and Prince George’s County. To be successful, we need the input of informed residents in the County’s plans for the community’s future. I am pleased to provide these critical updates and I look forward to hearing the thoughts and concerns of residents.”
The Community Meeting will feature
presentations on the Regional Medical Center by University of Maryland MedicalSystem (UMMS) representatives. Retail
Properties of America, Inc. (RPAI) representatives will provide an update onthe proposed redevelopment of the Blvd at Capital Centre. Council Chair Davis
will also share information concerning other upcoming projects and initiativesin District 6. Residents will have the
opportunity to ask questions and share their ideas with Chair Davis.
