Prince George’s County Public Schools CEO Dr. Kevin Maxwell Featured Guest Speaker

The Prince George’s County Council will hold an Education Town Hall Meeting, on Monday, October 23, 2017, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Council Hearing Room, County Administration Building, 14741 Governor Oden Bowie Drive in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

The County Council Education Town Hall Meeting will feature presentations from Prince George’s County Public Schools Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Kevin Maxwell and Prince George’s County Board of Education Chairman Segun Eubanks, Ed.D. Participants will receive updates on key initiatives for Prince George’s County Public Schools including the Continuous Business Process Improvement Study; the Capital Improvement Program and the Comprehensive Maintenance Plan.

Council Chair Derrick L. Davis (D) – District 6 says the state of our school system impacts every resident and encourages concerned citizens to participate during the town hall.

 “As a County resident, whether you have school-aged children in your home or not, education and our schools impact our Quality of Life. More than two-thirds of County tax dollars support education. Each of us is a stakeholder in the future of our County, and the partnership of every stakeholder is needed to achieve the world-class education our young people deserve. I encourage County residents to participate in this meeting, learn more about the work we are doing to improve our school system, and share their ideas and concerns.”
