Council to Focus on
Legislative Priorities and Goals for 2018
The Prince George’s County Council will hold
its 2018 Annual Retreat on Wednesday, January 3rd through Friday, January 5th, at The Hotel at the University of Maryland, 7777
Baltimore Avenue in College Park, Maryland. Sessions are scheduled to
begin at 10:00 a.m. each day.
During the three-day retreat, Council Members,
County leaders, invited guests and staff will discuss a variety of legislative and public policy issues including, but not
limited to, the Zoning Ordinance Rewrite; Transportation, Transit-Oriented
Development and Economic Development; Comprehensive Housing Strategy; the
County’s Fiscal Outlook; Education Infrastructure; and Legislative Priorities
for this year’s General Assembly session. The Council will also convene
as the Board of Health for an update on the new University of Maryland Capital
Region Health facility under construction, and other important health-related
matters.
The Council’s 2018 Annual Retreat is an open meeting and the public is invited to attend.
