Public Comment Invited for May 14th Work Session
The Prince George’s County Council is encouraging residents to have a voice in the future development of Prince George’s County, during a Zoning Ordinance Rewrite work session on Monday, May 14, 2018, at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Hearing Room, 14741 Governor Oden Bowie Drive in Upper Marlboro, MD.
The County Council, in partnership with the Prince George’s County Planning Department, is conducting a comprehensive update of the County’s 50-year-old Zoning Ordinance to streamline zoning laws and create a user-friendly document supporting the County’s vision for smart growth, economic development and improved quality of life for residents.
County Council Chair Dannielle Glaros (D) – District 3 says citizen engagement in the legislative process for adopting a new, updated County Zoning Ordinance is critical to its success.
“There will be several opportunities during our scheduled work sessions, for critical public input as the Council’s Zoning Ordinance Rewrite process moves forward. We hope residents who began this process with Park and Planning will remain involved to the end of the Council’s legislative process. And we welcome the active participation of residents who are just now becoming engaged in this important endeavor.”
