Residents Encouraged to Attend and Help Shape the Future of Housing in Prince George’s County
The Prince George’s County Council invites residents to attend a Comprehensive Housing Strategy Report Presentation and Public Discussion on Tuesday, October 9, 7:00 p.m. at the County Administration Building, Council Hearing Room, 14741 Governor Oden Bowie Drive in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
The Comprehensive Housing Strategy, designed to create a roadmap for the County’s housing investments over the next 10 years, will help build sustainable, diverse, and inclusive communities connected to greater economic opportunity. Residents are encouraged to join the conversation and help shape the future of housing in Prince George’s County.
The Comprehensive Housing Strategy Ad Hoc Subcommittee, established by Council Resolution 13-2016, is assessing current and future housing needs; considering barriers to home ownership and affordability; and examining regional realities, existing strategies and unique local housing and fiscal challenges in the County. The subcommittee will build consensus around housing policies considering the County, State and regional economies; the County’s transportation network; and where Prince George’s County fits in the future of the Greater Washington-Baltimore region.
