DISTRICT 8 COUNCIL MEMBER MONIQUE ANDERSON-WALKER HOLDS PRESS CONFERENCE TO ANNOUNCE LAUNCH OF #DRIVINGITHOME – A SAFE DRIVING PARTNERSHIP INITIATIVE

Council Member Monique Anderson-Walker, joined by At-Large Council Member Calvin S. Hawkins, II, State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy, Deputy County Administrative Officer for Public Safety Mark Magaw, and Prince George’s County Fire Chief Benjamin Barksdale, will hold a press conference at Crossland High School on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 1:00 p.m., to announce the official launch of #DrivingItHome – a partnership initiative to change the driving culture in District 8 and throughout Prince George’s County.
#DrivingItHome is being launched in response to a series of tragic and deadly accidents on Maryland Route 210/Indian Head Highway. The ongoing initiative will focus on raising awareness for safe driving in Prince George’s County, stressing six areas that are crucial to safe and responsible driving to highway and road safety; seatbelt use; texting and driving; driver distractions; drunk driving; highway speed and aggressive driving.
