[ARCHIVED] DISTRICT 9 COUNCIL MEMBER SYDNEY HARRISON VOLUNTEERS IN COUNTY'S CHRISTMAS IN APRIL INITIATIVE


Prince George’s County Council Member Sydney J. Harrison, (D) – District 9, will join County Executive Angela D. Alsobrooks, County employees, and over 3,000 community volunteers on Saturday, April 27, 2019, to help elderly, disabled, and low-income homeowners across the County who need assistance with painting, cleaning, odd jobs and other necessary home repairs.

The goal of Christmas in April is to help eligible County homeowners with maintenance of their properties. Homeowners receive all repairs free of charge. 

Council Member Harrison will use his plumbing skills to assist a District 9 homeowner, located at 5902 Plata St., in Clinton, Maryland, as part of the Christmas in April program in Police District V, on Saturday at 9:00 a.m.

"I consider it an honor to volunteer my services to our residents in need, and encourage members of our community to consider this opportunity to help their neighbors.  Through Christmas in April in Prince George’s County, we are making a positive difference in the lives of our residents, and provide lasting stability for our communities."
