District 3 Nonprofit Networking Breakfast Events:

Representatives from the Greater Washington Community Foundation, Maryland Nonprofits, Nonprofit Prince George’s, Center for Nonprofit Advancement, Prince George’s Chamber of Commerce, Kaiser Permanente, Care First, MGM, and Whole Foods have also presented to attendees. The spring 2018 event was held in conjunction with the University of Maryland Do Good Institute at the Do Good Accelerator in the UMD Discovery District to connect local nonprofit organizations with University of Maryland resources.

Recognizing her support of the nonprofit community, including through the District 3 Nonprofit Networking Breakfasts, Council Member Glaros was awarded the 2015 Phyllis Campbell Newsome Public Policy Leadership Award by the Center for Nonprofit Advancement. The award highlights the work of elected and non-elected officials who have gone above and beyond in partnership with the nonprofit sector to ensure more vibrant communities.
