[ARCHIVED] COUNCIL TO HOLD FINAL VIRTUAL FY21 BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING – MONDAY, MAY 11TH

Residents Encouraged to Participate; Use Council’s eComment Portal to Speak

The Prince George’s County Council, using technology, will convene virtually on Monday, May 11TH , at 5:00 p.m., for its final FY 21 Budget public hearing.

Residents are strongly encouraged to participate and share their budget priorities during the May 11th budget public hearing. Closed-captioning and Spanish-language translation will be provided. Also, to facilitate public comment during virtual Council public hearings, the Council has established an eComment portal. Residents and stakeholders can register electronically to speak, or to submit a comment or letter into the official public record, in lieu of verbal testimony.

The virtual public hearing will address the Prince George’s County Proposed FY 2021 Operating Budget Six-Year Capital Program and the Prince George’s County Board of Education portion of the County FY 2021 Operating Budget, Proposed Budget of the Redevelopment Authority and Revenue Authority of Prince George’s County, and the Constant Yield Tax Rate.

Written testimony or comment will be accepted in electronic format, rather than by U.S. mail. For those unable to use the portal, comment/written correspondence may be emailed to: clerkofthecouncil@co.pg.md.us or faxed to (301) 952-5178. All testimony and comment received by the deadline will become part of the testimony. Comment will not be accepted via social media or by telephone/voice mail message.
