Food Distribution Saturday, May 30 – 500 Boxes of Groceries Available
Prince George’s County Council Vice-Chair and At-Large Member Calvin S. Hawkins, II, and Prince George’s County Executive Angela D. Alsobrooks, in continued efforts to address food insecurities in the County related to COVID-19, are partnering with The Kevin Durant Charity Foundation; The Wanda Durant “The Real MVP” Charity; Bishop McNamara High School Class of 2020; and several local businesses, service organizations and corporate citizens to host a Community Food Distribution event on Saturday, May 30, at Bishop McNamara High School, Mt. Calvary Parking Lot, 6800 Marlboro Pike in Forestville.
The food distribution, a drive-up only event supported by the Bishop McNamara senior class, will distribute 500 boxes of shelf-stable food and fresh produce, one box per vehicle, from 10:00 a.m. – 12 Noon, or until the food supply is exhausted.
The Community Food Distribution supporting partners also include; G.S. Proctor and Associates; Market Fresh Gourmet; William Van Dyke Minor Jr. Educational Foundation; EAGS; Shipley & Horne, P.A.; Prince George’s Arts & Humanities Council; Bursting With Promise, Inc; and the 25th Legislative District Team.
