The Prince George’s County Council Committee of the Whole (COW), aided by technology, will convene virtually, on Wednesday, July 15 at 10:00 a.m. to review proposed legislation.
July 15th COW committee meeting agenda items include a discussion of the Board of Education Reconciliation Request and review of over 20 legislative measures, including CR-068-2020 a Resolution for the purpose of extending the appointment of Hector Velez as Acting Police Chief; CR-066-2020 a Resolution concerning the declaration of racism as a crisis and disease of public health, public safety and economic welfare; CB-052-2020, an Emergency Act amending the Landlord-Tenant Code to reinstate the definition of tenant in effect prior to the adoption of CB-16-2020; and CR-60-2020, a Resolution concerning Landlord-Tenant Code and prohibition of rent increases, rental terminations and late fees during the COVID-19 public health crisis.
The COW committee meeting will be available for public viewing. Residents are encouraged to view the session meeting live and on demand HERE. This meeting format is consistent with Maryland’s Open Meetings Act and restrictions resulting from the state of emergency declared by Governor Hogan.
