First County Council Session of the New Year Includes Introduction of Legislation and Briefings from Prince George’s Forward Task Force and Stand Up and Deliver
The Prince George’s County Council and the Council’s Committee of the Whole (COW) will convene virtually for the first-time following December recess on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.
County Council session, which begins at 10:00 a.m., will include the presentation of Council Bills; introduction of Resolutions; and scheduled briefings on the Prince George’s Forward Task Force Report and the Stand Up and Deliver Food Distribution Program. A Committee of the Whole (COW) meeting will convene at 1:30 p.m. to address CR-002-2021, legislation concerning Prince George’s County’s eighth continued Declaration of Emergency.
The January 12th County Council and COW sessions will be available for public viewing. Residents are encouraged to view the sessions live and on demand HERE. Agendas may be viewed in their entirety HERE. This meeting format is consistent with Maryland’s Open Meetings Act and restrictions resulting from the state of emergency declared by Governor Hogan.
