COW Includes General Assembly Updates and Appointments; Introduction of Legislation and Proposed Correspondence Addressed During Council Session
The Prince George’s County Council and the Council’s Committee of the Whole (COW) will convene virtually Tuesday, January 26, 2021.
COW will begin at 11:00 a.m. with General Assembly updates to include a discussion of Statewide and Local Bills. COW will also receive a Maryland Association of Counties (MACo) briefing, consider Executive appointments for Director of the Department of Corrections and to the Prince George’s County Board of Ethics, and address legislation. Council Session, including the Presentation of Council Bills; Introduction of Council Resolutions; and a review of Proposed Correspondence, is scheduled to convene following COW at 12:30 p.m. The Council will also consider CR-006-2021 and CR-007-2021, Resolutions eligible for adoption.
The January 26th County Council and COW are open sessions available for public viewing. Residents are encouraged to view the sessions live and on demand HERE. Agendas may be viewed in their entirety HERE. This meeting format is consistent with Maryland’s Open Meetings Act and restrictions resulting from the state of emergency declared by Governor Hogan.
