COUNTY COUNCIL TO CONDUCT PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROJECT LABOR AGREEMENT LEGISLATION DURING SCHEDULED SESSION TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 14TH – MEASURE ELIGIBLE FOR FINAL COUNCIL VOTE
The Prince George’s County Council, sitting as the District Council on land use matters, will convene on Monday, February 13, 2023. The Prince George’s County Council will convene Tuesday, February 14, 2023.
Monday’s District Council session is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. with Oral Arguments, followed by New Cases and Items Pending Finality.
County Council session scheduled for Tuesday, February 14th at 10:00 a.m. will include a public hearing for CB-004-2023, legislation establishing a pilot Project Labor Agreement targeting the Department of Public Works and Transportation Curb and Road and Rehabilitation construction projects that create entry-level positions for County residents. The goals of CB-004-2023 are:
- To advance the County’s interest in producing labor-management stability
- To ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing safety and health
- To further equal employment opportunities
- To raise labor and employment standards
